Feb 16: Paul had another surgery today to remove his trach! I spent the majority of the day on the phone with various Acute Rehab Facilities and we are successful in getting him accepted to Kenmore Mercy where his transfer should be taking place this Friday! He will have 3 hours daily of Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy! They make him get dressed everyday and he will be leaving his room several times a day for meals and rehab! They told me he is going to be exhausted so plan on coming later in the day because he will sleep from church exhaustion every chance he gets! My poor honey 🍯

I had to take Caramel this morning to the animal hospital, she was peeing blood and she was short of breath and turning blue she's at the Access animal hospital she has severe congestive heart failure. She's always had a murmur but her veterinarian just said to keep an eye on her. The vet in the hospital thinks it's due to her age we're hoping we can get some fluid off of her and take her home with some meds she's gonna be in the hospital for two days. Have all the boys pray for Caramel I know how much They love her

Just called the EMTs and they are taking Leann to the hospital. She was having extreme shortness of breath and spasms all over body. Could be myasthenia gravis crisis or extremely low potassium. Please be praying and I will keep you in the loop.

When they got to the house her oxygen was 88 and her pulse was 101. The top level of her blood pressure was 155.

Temperature was 100 degrees today and they believe she is having some type of mg crisis. They are stabilizing her breathing and heart rate before transferring her to the ICU unit.

Leanne is doing so much better this morning. The move to the regular room has been not only a breath of fresh air but like going to a whole different world. The doctors, nurses and therapist are all engaging with her, listening to her, and setting goals to have her health restored to where it was before she arrived and even beyond! Two major goals they are trying to accomplish before she is released or transferred is to have her breathing restored to 100% and her swallowing restored to at least where it was before she arrived. This would mean no oxygen support needed and that she would be able to take food by mouth again. :-) she response so well to working with therapist and even surprise the speech therapist Yesterday by her abilities that we know once she is engaged in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy regularly we will see some God blessed results. we are praying and hopeful that this is the beginning not only her short-term recovery but long-term restoration to full health.
